Vacation Bible School FAQ

Here is everything you need to know for Vacation Bible School!

is there a cost for vacation bible school?

The VBS experience is free. If you would like to give a donation, you can do so by heading over to our Giving Page. Be sure to specify that your gift is for VBS22!

Alternatively, you can ask an usher or greeter for an offering envelope and put your gift inside, writing "VBS22!" on the envelope. Our usher/greeter will put it in our secure offering lockbox in the sanctuary.

Can parents stay for VBS?

If you are the parent of a younger child you may stay with your child, but we ask that you only interact with your own child.

We are also providing a space in the Narthex for parents to use as they wish - to chill out, catch up on texts/calls/emails, socialize, play games, etc. You can also ask for prayer or fill out a parent wishlist for churches. It’s your time.

If your child is over age 4 and you do leave campus, we just ask that you be back no later than 8:25 pm to pick up your child.

When and Where should I drop off/pick-up my child?

Signage/Volunteers will direct you to the right door at our main sanctuary building. Please plan to be at the church by 8:25 pm to pick up your child.

You and your child are welcome to come to the church when the doors open at 6 pm for food (free, and while supplies last) and a few activities outdoor and indoor. However, you as the parent/guardian will be responsible for your child until check-in occurs in the narthex, between 6:20-6:30.

Once they are checked in, they will go into the sanctuary and sit with a teacher from their class.

Around 7 pm each night, each class will leave the sanctuary to go to their small group classroom. At the end of the night, teachers will escort their classes to an assigned space in the Narthex. Parents will pick up their children from the teacher in the Narthex.

Please plan to be at the church by 8:25 pm to pick up your child.

Will there by any COVID protocols in place?

NCCOP follows the requirements of the City of Philadelphia. Please click here to see the most up-to-date information from the city. If there are any additions you will be notified as soon as possible by email. In light of the School District of Philadelphia requiring masks during June, and the local daycares requiring masks, we are asking that all children and adults wear masks indoors at VBS.
