The Lord is calling a Remnant

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. This means that salvation and deliverance...

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord

Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,

As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. Joel 2:32

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. This means that salvation and deliverance is available to all as the Lord has said. Why then does the Lord call a remnant? It has to do with an act of our freewill. There are those who take pleasure in the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Often our choices are influenced by those around us and our access to temptation. The fear of the Lord shapes the behavior of the remnant, and so when He calls they are well positioned to hear, because the remnant abides in His presence. While the ungodly seek their own desires.

The Lord is calling a remnant out of this generation.  Isaiah 46:3-4 is a prophetic word for the house of God — Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, Who have been upheld by Me from birth, Who have been carried from the womb: Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you!

I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

As we experience an unusual shaking in the earth. The Lord who made heaven and earth, and all who dwell therein to listen to Him; He is saying “Listen to Me”. This is a season to listen to God in a way that produces obedience and wise choices. Civil unrest has been added to a global pandemic in our nation, yet too many people continue to be self indulgent. In a time when repentance and compassion ought to abound. While it is so, that hearts are being changed and minds are being renewed. Salvation and deliverance is available to all of human creation.  It is the will of God that we submit ourselves to Him, so that He can carry us from the womb to old age, He has promised to carry us even to gray hairs. The Lord will never leave us, nor will He forsake us.

We must pray in this season for our generation to be awakened. Paul Encourages us in Romans 13:11And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Our corporate calling is to usher in the awakening by prayer and obedience to the word of God, as we speak the truth in love to those who are yet asleep.

My three children have varying sleep patterns. My youngest is a light sleeper who is awakened by a gentle shake and a mild sound. On the other hand, my middle son is a heavy sleeper who requires much shaking and a loud voice to wake him out of sleep. God as our Father has children who require much shaking and a loud shout from heaven, for some of His children to awake out of sleep. I pray that you are a light spiritual sleeper, so that all that is required to wake you up is a still small voice, and a gentle shake. The Lord God is speaking to His children that we would awake out of sleep, because our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The Lord is calling you to be among the remnant through whom salvation and deliverance comes through much prayer. He is preparing many to call upon His name so they can be saved from the destruction that is to come. Listen to Me says the Lord and I will fill you with heavenly treasure, and make you a vessel of honor among the remnant.

The Lord is calling a Remnant!
