As you know, January has been designated as a month of personal and corporate consecration. This period will culminate in seven days of church-wide prayer and fasting, starting on Wednesday, February 1, and ending on Tuesday, February 7. The Church will shut in from noon-midnight each day for praying, fasting, praising, and worshiping. Individuals will be permitted to enter and leave our Sanctuary throughout these hours with discretion. On the seventh day of the consecration, we will walk around the Narthex silently six times and then celebrate in the Sanctuary.
There are two ways in which you can serve:
- Servant Leader
- To serve in this capacity, you will need to select one hour during the first six-day of the period for which you will be responsible for coordinating the activity of the prayer leaders who sign up to lead prayer at that hour. For example, if you select to serve at noon, you will oversee the implementation of the prayer schedule by all those who sign up to lead prayer at noon(See the two tables below). You will be expected to be in the Sanctuary during that hour and can serve as the Hour Prayer Leader by choice or cover for hourly leaders who do not show up for their assignments.
- We are looking for 12 people to serve in this role.
- Hour Prayer Leader
- This position requires one to sign up to lead prayer for an hour or multiple hours on any day of the first six days. See examples 2 and 3 below. Notice that the individual Louise has signed up to be the prayer leader at 1:00 pm on the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th, while in example three, individuals signed up only for one hour on each day of the prayer time.
If you sign up to serve, you will be offered training. To sign up, please click on the link below to register:
