Role of the Community Partner
The Community Partner supports New Members in making a smooth transition from their introductory classes to engagement in the life of the church, by providing guidance, a friendly relationship, practical assistance, and encouragement. The Community Partner serves as a “Connector” to the life of the church by supporting the new member in getting established in new activities related to spiritual growth and a shared sense of community.
Register for the Overview Session on October 30th!
On October the 30th you will have the opportunity to learn more about the community partner program and how you can fit into the overall strategy. This overview will happen during the morning worship service.
Requirements
- Complete the registration form found here.
- Attend 2 short sessions that will equip you for your role as a partner to a new member.
Who is eligible to be a community Partner?
Members of NCC who are willing and available to answer the call to invest your time, support, and guidance into a new member, or a member who feels the need to be linked with a Community Partner.
Do you have what it takes to be a Community Partner?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
God has a kingdom connection made just for you. There are people whose lives He wants you to influence if you are willing to make the discovery.
What you can expect from the Community Partner Experience
Relationship Building
The relationships you develop with the new member become channels for the passage of information, encouragement, opportunities, and support. Improve your “people” skills, and learn together how to be positive, effective, and authentic in your relationships. Partnering promises to be an enriching and meaningful experience for both parties.
Support
You are not alone. Community Partners are assigned an oversight person who is prepared to offer you guidance and helpful information as you grow together with your assigned new member. That person is just a call or a click away.
Engagement
Community Partners help the new member build confidence by sharing helpful information about NCC, and ministry opportunities that support spiritual and personal growth.
Goal Setting
Community Partners help new members discover gifts, talents, and interests and define and attain their personal and spiritual goals.
Role Models
By sharing testimonies of growth with new members, Community Partners can become role models of what it looks like to grow in their Christian faith.
