NCC’s Educational Resources & Endowment Committee (E.R.E.C.) annually awards scholarships and book stipends to members of the New Covenant Church of Philadelphia (NCCOP) who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships are open to any New Covenant Church of Philadelphia high school senior who will be attending their first year of college/university/technical school. Students must have a minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.  

All awards are for the current school year. They are not automatically renewable and will not exceed the total costs of tuition, fees, books, and supplies. If selected as a recipient, the student will be notified by a member of the E.R.E.C. team. Scholarships and book stipend checks are made payable to the school to which the student is accepted and mailed directly to the school. 

While it is the desire of E.R.E.C. to provide some financial assistance to all requestors, actual scholarships will be based on the funds available for disbursement. Individuals, families, ministries, and organizations provide these generous donations. As such, E.R.E.C. cannot guarantee that all applications will be funded. As of 2008, students that do not receive scholarship support will automatically be eligible for a book stipend.
